Why subscribe?

  1. Because art is HARD, yo. Help a brutha out by being a patron. Promise that it all goes back into the productions you find here.

  2. Because you get a podcast, a hopefully insightful article about how to take your own art to the next level, and a video game all in one shot.

Okay but who even is this “Sai?”

Great place to start! Sai Sion is an award-winning Audio Alchemist and Creative Technologist, recognized by Variety Magazine, NPR, and the Gotham Film Institute for his impactful work. A rising star in the podcast industry, he's a Webby and Third Coast award-winning podcaster whose diverse projects include acclaimed sci-fi audio dramas and documentary productions.

Sai envisions himself as a catalyst for innovation at the intersection of video game development, the arts, and education, bridging these fields to create transformative experiences. This vision is evident in his current game development project, Man In a Dress. This choose-your-own-adventure game with voice-controlled RPG elements immerses listeners directly into his mind during one of the worst nights out of his life.

Okay but what is Sai-Fi though?

Good question! Sai-Fi, a cosmic dream spun from the threads of Black and queer experience, weaves tales of the future, yet rooted in the soul of the South. It is a sonic tapestry, a dreamscape where technology and magic intertwine, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. A journey through time and space, a meditation on identity and belonging, Sai-Fi is a testament to the power of the human spirit to imagine, to hope, and to dream.

Okay?…

It’s a newsletter to stay up-to-date with my work and its publication. First up is a project that combines live theatre, video games, and audio storytelling, a playable horror-themed, true crime podcast called Man in a Dress.
